A Belgian Magazine, Het Nieuwsblad, got chance to visit the The Deathly Hallows recently and were able to interview the Potter cast. The cast talk about the sixth film, in promotion for the release of the HBP DVD and the seventh film, Deathly Hallows which the cast are still filming.

Two of the actors they have spoken to were Tom Felton and Bonnie Wright who talked about their relationship with their co-stars and of course filming the last Potter films.

Tom on his relationship with Dan:

Tom Felton: It’s good to be the villain. I think every actor likes to play a character that is miles away from yourself. But in reality, Daniel Radcliffe and I are very convergent. We share the love for cricket. Even if we try to murder each other with spells, we are brothers together in Daniel’s dressing room next to watch cricket matches on TV. We sometimes play cricket, but the film company is quite concerned that Daniel gets a ball in his face. So, the ball is not hit in his direction. “

Tom and Bonnie on filming Deathly Hallows:

Tom Felton: We still have several months filming. The last scene we will probably be filming the scene 19 years later is playing. I’m very curious how we all will be.

Bonnie Wright: I’m looking forward to returning to King’s Cross station. I had my first scene for the first Harry Potter movie ten years ago. I hardly knew then what acting was. I especially remember that I was freezing.

Tom: We’ve spent more than ten years together on this film set. We have grown up here. It will be strange to say goodbye.

Bonnie: Who knows, we can have a reunion in about ten years. What became of the actors? Maybe we’ll play together in the Harry Potter musical. (Laughs)

To be the enemy of Harry Potter
Tom Felton: ‘It is great fun to be the bad guy. I think every actor likes to play a character that is completely different from his own personality. But in real life Daniel Radcliffe and I get on very well. We share a love for cricket. When we’re not trying to kill each other with spells, we just sit in in Daniel’s dressing room watching cricket games on television. We also play cricket ourselves, but the filming company is quite afraid Daniel will get a ball thrown in his face. So we’re not allowed to throw the ball in his direction. A tennis ball is ok, but a real cricket ball isn’t.’

Scared Fans
Tom Felton: ‘ It’s fun to play the bad guy on the set, but then you have to accept that in real life some fans will be scared of you. Everyone thinks Daniel, Bonnie, Emma and Rupert are sympathetic, but I was once booed at when I went to give out some Childrens Award. Well, that means I played my character convincingly. If you can frighten children, you’re doing good as an actor. Fans under the age of 7 don’t trust me at all. When they’re older, they realise I’m not as mean as Draco in real life.’

Tom Felton: ‘I really enjoy watching the ‘Behind the Scenes’ on the Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince DVD. They’re all nice memories. And they are smart enough not to show too much (on BTS), so the magic won’t disappear.’

The last scene
Tom Felton: ‘We still have a few months left of filming. The very last scene we’ll be filming will probably be the scene that plays 19 years later. I’m already very curious what we’ll all look like.’

Tom: ‘Or we’ll be skating in ‘Harry Potter on Ice.’ Although I think J.K. Rowling will luckily prevent this from happening.’

The Kiss Scene
Bonnie: ‘Everyone was waiting for that moment, so it was a litlle bit weird. On the other hand, Daniel and I know each other so well now, we felt at ease with each other when that scene was being filmed. I didn’t get a lot of jealous reactions. A few fans probably thought: ‘Leave Harry alone, he’s mine!’ (laughs) But it’s Ginny who gets the hero, not me.
