In an online poll, the 6th Potter Movie, The Half-Blood Prince, ranks as the most anticipated movie of next year. It has outranked other films such as Transformers, Angels and Demons and many more. HBP is slated to be released on July 17, 2009.
Meanwhile, Harry Potter also lead the nominations for the Independent Booksellers Book Prize. The Deathly Hallows leads the shortlisted nominations in the Children’s Books Category. The winner will be determined by a public vote so vote for Potter to win!
Lastly, THR is reporting that Gary Oldman is in negotiations to star along side Denzel Washington in a new movie called “The Book of Eli”. He is in negotiations to play Carnegie, the despot of a small town who is determined to possess the book Eli is guarding.
