We have posted earlier two new interviews of Dan, on where he is promoting his latest project, Equus on Broadway. New York Times has posted a similar interview with additional snippets from Dan and Richard Griffiths. They also have two new photos of Dan, as posted above. Here is an excerpt:

Richard Griffiths on Dan:

“He did loads of research and spent a lot of time thinking about it,” Mr. Griffiths said. “He’s got a lightning-fast mind and picks up things very rapidly. Once he gets it, he’s got it.”

On men and their cars:

“I hate the way men can take a perfectly good subject and turn it into a competition,” he said. “It irritates me. I like cars, but they talk about tire pressure and horsepower. Does it go fast? Yes or no? You don’t have to give me an actual speed. All the boys at school wanted to get Lamborghinis, and I wanted a Golf GTI.”

On my mum and dad:

“Sometimes I can feel a bit sorry for myself if I’ve been lying down in the mud for the night shoot and then I have to get up at 4:30 the next morning,” he said. “But my mum and dad have always said, if anyone’s complaining, ‘Well, you’re not down a mine.’ ”

A new HBP picture was released recently by WB, showing Neville huddled on his bed at the Gryffindor Boys Room.

Also, Harry Potter actor Ruper Grint was spotted looking at some properties near Hyde Park, maybe planning to buy a house in London soon. In a quick interview with PR Inside, he talked a bit about his new film Cherry Bomb and how he spent his 20th birthday. According to Rupert, aside from spending it with his family and friends, he also received well wishes from Potter actors Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson. He also keeps in touch with former Potter actor Robert Pattinson, on which he lost a bet recently. As a punishment he now has to read the best selling Twilight books on which Pattinson will star in a film to be released in November. To read more, click on the link above.

Harry Potter stars Bonnie Wright and Evanna Lynch both attended the 2nd UK Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards last night in London. Both of them took the stage as they presented an award together with Narnian actor William Moseley. You can view more pictures of them courtesy of Occlumencia.

Last year, Emma Watson attended the awards of which she picked up a ‘blimp’ for winning Best Actress for OOTP.

In two new interviews by the Associated Press and IHT, Daniel Radcliffe talks about the Broadway revival of Equus as well as its criticisms and working with fellow Potter Richard Harris. Here are some excerpt:

On choosing roles:

“If I went off and did another fantasy film, everyone would say, ‘He’s not even trying,’ but if I went off and played a drug dealer, they’d say, ‘God, he’s trying way too hard,”‘ he said.

On working with Richard Griffiths:

“To work with Richard on stage and in a much more intimate way than Vernon in the ‘Potter’ films is amazing. His intellect is huge. But … he is not snobbish with the knowledge he has. He shares it and he wants to talk about it. I find him a real joy to be around. For me, it seemed I would have to be really moronic not to take the part.”

On choosing to do theatre:

“The stage is much more a test of nerve (than film) and seeing what you are made of,” Radcliffe explains. “It would be very easy to do simple stuff. It doesn’t really interest me that much. Even if I screw up, it’s good to know what my limits are. It’s good to get a sense of what I can and cannot do.

“Every actor has limits. It’s sort of testing out where they are. Luckily, I haven’t found them yet. I suppose the thing I’ve learned is that I think I am more capable than I thought I was,”

The Top 5 insane rumors about him :

“Do you want the Top 5?” he asked. He reeled them off. “One of them was how I had grown 2-foot in about five weeks,” he said. “The next was that I had a stalker, which again was utter fiction. One of them was that I had asked two former SAS guards to walk my dogs,” referring to an elite British military branch. “One of them was that I ordered a special beer that was brewed in a monastery in Belgium by monks. And I hate beer. And then, the best one was the fact that they said that I was having a sculpture made for the middle of my living room of me in ‘Equus.”
