Reuters and The Hollywood Reporter are reporting that British Actress Helena Bonham Carter is in the talks of joining the cast of “Terminator Salvation”, which looks in the origins of the battle between human and Skynet. No word yet on the role of Ms. Bonham-Carter but insiders described her role as small but pivotal. Principal photography will take place in New Mexico with Batman Star Christian Bale in the lead character and Charlie’s Angels Director “McG” helming the movie.

Another HBP casting information was released yesterday with British actor Rod Hunt being cast as the big, blond death eater Thorfinn Rowle in The Half- Blood Prince. Rowle was one of the death eaters present on the Astronomy Tower the night Dumbledore died.

Voting is now open for the 2008 SyFy Genre Awards. Vote for Dan, Emma and the rest of the gang as they vie for various awards. Dan is nominated for Best Actor while Emma is nominated for Best Actress (along with Potter Co-star Helena Bonham Carter for Sweeney Todd). OOTP is nominated for best movie while JK Rowling is up for the Lifetime Achievement Award. Click here to vote.

Slain Potter Actor Robert Knox was set to received a police award next week for his bravery and for helping Police catch two men who carried out serious assaults on a man in a shop where he worked. He was one of the 65 people set to be honoured by the area’s chief superintendent. His parents will now accept the award in his behalf.

Robert died in May after being stabbed outside a bar in Sidcup, Kent. He was laid to rest last Wednesday.

The City of Edinburgh is set to honor Harry Potter author JK Rowling with its most prestigious civic award ceremony since the Freedom of the Capital was given to Sir Sean Connery in 1991. Ms. Rowling is set to accept the award to honour those “Whose outstanding achievements have brought honour to Edinburgh. She will also be given a Hollywood-style walk of fame in the quadrangle outside the City Chamners, where she will leave her handprints.
